Growth & engagement

Badges

Badges are status your members can wear: designed achievement collectibles you create, each with its own name, artwork, and description. Members earn them, show them off on their profiles, and chase the ones they don't have yet.

What it is

Badges are more than decoration. With Loyalty Stacker they double as keys, so the things members earn become the things that unlock more to earn.

A reward and a key

Any badge a member owns can be used to gate other quests and shop items. That makes every badge both a celebration of progress and a key to whatever comes next.

Earned is earned, for good
Once a member earns a badge it's theirs to keep. Even if you later rename or restyle it, their copy keeps the look it had when they earned it.

Design your badge set

You control how every badge looks and behaves.

  • Upload custom artwork for each badge.
  • Give each one a name and description.
  • Set the display order.
  • Activate or hide badges at any time.

Three ways to award a badge

As a quest reward

Granted automatically the moment a member completes a qualifying quest.

Through the shop

Members buy a badge with their points, straight from the rewards shop.

Manually

Hand a badge to specific members directly, perfect for one-off recognition.

One of each, always
A member can only ever hold one of each badge, so they always represent a genuine, unique achievement.

Use badges as gates

Require a member to own a specific badge before they can access another quest or buy a shop item. This lets you build progression: starter achievements that unlock advanced challenges and exclusive rewards.

The badge is the key
Because earned badges can gate other content, every reward a member wins can open the door to the next, turning your badge set into a roadmap, not just a trophy case.

Earned badges also appear on member profiles as visible proof of status and progress, so the whole community can see who's done what.

Examples & use cases

Why it matters

Badges tap the oldest motivators in the book: status, collection, and progress. They give members a reason to come back and complete the set, they make achievement visible to the whole community, and because they can gate other content, they let you design a journey where every reward earned opens the door to the next. One simple feature that's both a reward and a roadmap.

Sell them in the rewards shop or grant them through the quest engine, then use them as keys to gate the next tier of quests and items.
